This is a biological product to combat and protect wax from moth larvae attacks. It contains 40 grams. Every 10 grams is enough to protect approximately 35 honeycombs.
What should I know?
Bacillus thuringiensis are bacteria that are harmless to humans and bees and do not impart flavors or aromas to the honeycomb. However, when ingested by wax moth larvae, they develop in their intestines, causing their death.
Instructions for use:
Dissolve the contents of the container, 40g, equivalent to 4L of water, ( 10g, one litre of water ) and shake to homogenise the suspension. Apply by spraying the wax combs to be preserved on both sides, stirring constantly. Use within 24 hours of adding the water.
Apply only to combs that are going to be preserved/stored, NOT to those inside the hive with bees/brood/honey/etc.3
Each milligram of the suspension will contain approximately 250,000 spores, equivalent to 700 IU.
