This machine is used to extract bee bread from honeycombs .
Discover the Bee Bread Harvester, an essential piece of equipment for beekeepers looking for efficiency and quality in the collection of bee bread. This device, awarded the gold medal at APIMONDIA 2013, is designed to facilitate the separation of wax and bee bread, a nutrient-rich compound, from your honeycombs with ease and precision.
Highlighted Features:
· Optimal Management: Capable of processing honeycomb pieces up to 80 mm, optimizing collection without compromising quality.
· Simplified Process: It only requires that the wax combs be previously frozen for effective separation, allowing for processing between 1 to 1.5 kilos per session.
· Efficient Manual Separation: It includes a specific grid to facilitate the manual separation of excess wax, ensuring maximum use of the bee bread.
· Efficient Drying: After extraction, the bee bread must be dried in a pollen dryer at 42 °C for 2-3 days, preserving its nutritional properties.
Technical Specifications:
Productivity: Approx. 20 kg/h.
Hopper Inlet Width: 85 mm.
Power: 250 W / 230 V.
Weight: 7.0 kg.
Optimal Preparation: Before use, it is crucial to extract the honey from the combs and dry them properly, followed by freezing at -18°C to -20°C for 16 hours to ensure effective grinding.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- We will select the frames that contain bee bread and do not have honey. If they do have honey, the frame must first be passed through the honey extractor.
- We remove the honeycombs from the wires in strips 85mm wide.
- Afterwards, we will put them in the freezer at -18 °C for 12 hours (we put them in mid-afternoon and the next morning they will be ready to be collected).
- Once frozen, they are placed in the machine that will extract the bee bread from the inside of the cells.
- Once collected, bee bread should be dried (just like pollen) for 2-3 days at a temperature below 42 °C. For this purpose, the use of pollen dryers is recommended.
Key Benefits:
Maximize Utilization: It allows the efficient use of frames with bee bread after honey extraction, without the need for exclusive production.
Sustainability and Utilization: Contribute to the sustainability of your beekeeping practices by optimizing the use of resources.
The Bee Bread Harvester not only represents a practical solution for the extraction of this valuable product, but also stands out for its contribution to the sustainable use of bee resources. Incorporate this machine into your beekeeping operation and take your production to the next level of efficiency and quality.
