Motor for honey extractors, ideal for motorising manual extractors with two to four frames. Choose between 110W or 80W model. Single-phase at 230V/50hz.
It has a lever to regulate the speed. The direction of rotation is regulated by turning the lever to one side or the other (clockwise and counterclockwise).
The motor consists of an on/off button and a lever to regulate clockwise and counterclockwise rotation speeds. It is connected to a 230v-50hz power outlet.
The engine must always be stopped by moving the lever to the zero position (never turn the lever in the opposite direction to stop), then turn off at the switch.
The coupling is direct from the motor shaft to the cage shaft, without pulleys or gears. In addition, it is adaptable to most of the crossbars of manual extractors on the Spanish beekeeping market.
OPTIONS TO CHOOSE
Model 80W - For small honey extractors with two to three frames. Preferably for lighter frames such as half-supers or Langstroth.
Model 110W - For medium-sized honey extractors with three to six frames. For all types of frames such as Layens, Dadant, etc.
WHAT OTHER PARTS ARE NEEDED TO MOTORIZE A MANUAL EXTRACTOR?
- Bushing. For coupling the motor shaft to the extractor shaft, it is recommended to use a coupling bushing to join the motor shaft to the extractor cage shaft by means of a pin. Where the motor shaft rubs against the motor-holder bar, it is recommended to use a friction bushing.
The 80w motor fits with 10mm sockets. The 110w motor fits with 12mm sockets.
- Anchor plate . To attach the motor to the top of the extractor perpendicular to the central bar.
- Center bar. We must ensure that the bar supporting the manual transmission is strong enough to support the electric motor. If not, it is recommended to purchase a new, stronger bar.
Note: All of these mentioned pieces are available on our website.
CONSIDERATIONS FOR MOUNTING
- The motor shaft is connected to the extractor shaft by means of a bushing, the motor is attached to the bar by means of an anchor plate. Both the bushing and the anchor plate are not included and must be purchased separately (see Accessories section).
- The clearance of the extractor cage shaft with the motor coupling must be less than 0.6 mm for correct operation.
- To attach the plate to the bar, at least two M8x30 screws are required. Not included.
- To attach the motor to the plate, four M6x20 or M6x25 screws are required as a minimum. Not included.
- To check or correct the turning clearance, you must loosen the two M8 screws holding the anchor plate to the extractor bar and center and retighten.
Note : Please note that there is a gap of between 0.5 and 1 mm between the bottom of the motor shaft and the top of the cage shaft. If not, place two 8mm diameter washers between the extractor bar and the anchor plate in order to raise the motor level and prevent the motor from working under pressure.
