DESCRIPCIÓN

Electric pollen dryer with thermostat and analogue time control.

It includes 5 trays with special mesh in each one for drying pollen, each with an approximate capacity of 200 grams. It can dry 1-1.5kg of pollen in 12-15 hours depending on the amount of pollen placed in the tray and its humidity. The objective is to achieve a humidity of 8% in the pollen grains to guarantee their conservation.

Adjustable temperature from 35 to 70 °C and time control. 350 W. It has a special nylon mesh for pollen on each tray.

Tray dimensions: Height 4.5cm and diameter 28cm.

How to use

This involves passing a continuous flow of dry air at 40°C through the trays to reduce the humidity of the pollen grains to 8%, which guarantees their good preservation. Spreading the pollen to be dried on each of the trays in a homogeneous manner to ensure adequate and uniform air circulation. If several trays are used for dehydration, the operating temperature decreases from the bottom to the top; consequently, the dehydration time for the upper baskets will increase.

Close the lid, plug the appliance into the mains and check the drying time. When the pollen in the lower baskets is sufficiently dry, the lower baskets should be removed. If an empty basket is to be refilled with fresh pollen, it should be placed in the upper position. The position of the baskets can be changed at any time.

Preservation of pollen once dried

Before removing the pollen from the dryer, it is advisable to pass cold dry air through it for about 10-14 minutes, to prevent the balls from coming out hot and absorbing moisture from the environment.

Therefore, before packaging or storing it, you must ensure that it is completely dry, and that it has cooled completely after the drying process, this is essential for proper conservation. It is also very important to prevent dried pollen from absorbing moisture during storage. Any jar, container or plastic bag used for storage must be sealed tightly.
